These Shortbread Hearts are so easy to make! Crumbly, buttery shortbread dipped in white or dark chocolate and decorated with lots of sprinkles. They are perfect for Valentine's day, or any occasion!



This recipe only consists of 3 simple ingredients! They taste delicious without any chocolate, but if you love chocolate (like I do), then you can dip them in white, milk or dark chocolate!


This is definitely a fun and easy bake to make with the whole family. Why not make big batches of these shortbread hearts and give them to your friends and family.

SHORTBREAD HEARTS

Prep time: 40 mins
Cook time: 15 mins
Makes: 20 Cookies
Ingredients
Shortbread
200g unsalted butter
90g caster sugar
300g plain flour
Decoration (optional)
75g white chocolate
75g milk chocolate
Sprinkles
Method
1. Cream together butter & sugar until smooth & fluffy. Add flour, mix until a dough is formed.
2. Roll the dough out to 1cm thickness. Use a 7cm cookie cutter to cut out the shortbread hearts.
3. Put on a lined baking tray. Put in fridge for 30 mins. Preheat oven to 180C/160C Fan.
4.Take out of the fridge, sprinkle with some caster sugar. Bake in the oven for 15 - 20 mins, or until lightly golden.
5. Leave to cool fully.

Optional
Melt the two chocolates.
Dip the biscuits into the melted chocolate, half dark and half white.
Drizzle some chocolate onto each biscuit. Add some sprinkles if you like.
Pop in the fridge to set.
